Sweet Home 3D 6.2 is free of cost application for interior designing. The app helps users to plan and design houses, offices, studios, garage and any other building that a user want to plan or design according to his or her liking. Sweet Home 3D is rich in very interesting and useful features including the ability to place furniture in a 2D plan and viewing it in 3D preview.

The user interface of the program is simple to understand and use. A file tree representing every room of the building can be seen on the left side of the interface. When users click on a room, a list opens up to show all the appropriate furniture that can be dragged into an adjacent box. This adjacent box is comprised of an area with a measurement grid that corresponds to the room size that is under the designing process. A small box at the bottom of the screen enables the users to preview their designs in 3D. Users can change the rooms’ texture and colors, drag and drop furniture from a categorized catalog, for example, living room, kitchen, windows, doors, etc. Users can either import self-created 3D models or downloaded them from a number of sites on the internet. All the changes that are made in 2D plans simultaneously reflect in 3D view so users can navigate it in either aerial or a virtual visitor view. Users can also improve their plans by incorporating texts and dimensions.

Users can also create a real-looking image of 3D preview with tailored lights or a movie from a virtual path in 3D view and then export the floor plan to SVG format or can export the 3D view to OBJ format so they can be imported in various other 2D or 3D software.
