A new bell icon will appear giving you the option of changing the notification and ring volume on your device.

Alarm volume adjustment

Once again, the previous versions required you to go to settings if you wanted to change the volume setting for your alarms. Although it was not a difficult task but it was couple of steps lengthier. Google made this process faster in this version to the extent that you can just do it directly from the Clock app by pressing the volume key.

New icons and animations

You can use a new set of volume adjustments by pressing the volume key on the home screen. With some new icons like that for the second sim, you will also find new animations across the platforms of the 5.1 version. For instance, in the clock app, the top row icons move when tapped. The same happens to the icons in the Quick Settings menu.
